“I have been a patient at the Woodside Clinic and I have to say it is an absolute haven of peace as soon as you walk through the door.
I first went quite apprehensively, with a back problem, for which Jonathan, with his tender and gentle care and wonderful personality, has provided considerable relief and now Kadi is helping me to sustain Jonathan’s work, in teaching me to do Pilates properly. Kadi is an excellent teacher and explains everything so well. She is generous with her praise, but she can ‘tell you off’ in her own inimitable way. My back has also been helped along the way with a few reflexology sessions, which seemed, at the time, a very strange treatment to help a bad back and I was totally surprised by the benefits of the reflexology.
I have also had some acupuncture on my hand to alleviate a bit of ‘wear and tear’ which again has worked after only a couple of sessions. I had had acupuncture before so I knew that would work.
Just to spoil myself now and again, I have an Indian Head Massage, again administered by Kadi, and for anyone (male or female) who wants to treat themselves to a never forgotten experience, then book in and have one, but please leave room for my appointments!
We mustn’t forget the lovely receptionists, who always have a smile and knack of putting you at ease, and are always so helpful trying to ‘fit’ you in when ever necessary.
All in all I am very lucky to have found my little ‘Haven of Peace’ and cannot thank you all enough for coming to Woodside.”

“We started Pilates classes at Woodside with Kadi in October 2007, having been doing Pilates on and off for about 3 years with two other teachers. We soon realised that the small class size, (six people), and the quality of tuition enhanced our progress as we took on board the finer points of ‘body control’.
Kadi is a very committed and enthusiastic teacher and has the in-depth knowledge to adapt exercises to suit individual needs – with an assortment of conditions within our class affecting neck to knees and most bits in between, this is no easy task! If a particular exercise is not suitable for one of us, Kadi always demonstrates a suitable safe alternative, so no one feels left out.
With only 6 in the class, Kadi is able to give lots of individual attention and make sure that we are all doing exactly what we should be – we’ve learned that tiny adjustments to our bodies really make a big difference in getting the most benefit from the exercises.
Each week’s class is different, but based around a structured programme designed to teach us how to locate and use various muscles correctly and gradually develop our ‘core’. The most taxing part is trying to coordinate brain and limbs and remembering to breathe at least once during the routine! However, Kadi is kind, patient and encouraging and has a real knack of explaining in an easily understood way exactly what we should be doing. The hour flies by and Kadi’s skilful mixture of exercises means that we never get bored. We may moan & groan a little as she gently pushes us, but we also laugh a lot as well!
Since doing Pilates we have, amongst other things, developed our core strength, learned how to breath correctly, improved our balance, flexibility and coordination, and generally felt more aware of our bodies. We try to put these new found abilities into practice during our day to day life.
We feel that Pilates is a very effective way of keeping fit and active, and when you have a teacher like Kadi, it becomes a very enjoyable experience as well.
(P.S. Kadi also does a very good massage!)”

“For some years I have suffered from unpleasant headaches ranging from mild to severe and have been very concerned about these.
Eyes have been thoroughly tested including twice by eye specialists and have also, as recommended by my doctor, carried out exercises. None of these attempts to resolve the headache problems have really helped.
After barrow loads of painkillers over years and the thought that I might have something more serious going on it was suggested to me by a friend that I should try some neck massage and the person to do this should be Sue Cook at the Woodside Clinic.
As the Clinic was next door to my office I decided to try a course of treatment and I am pleased to say that although from time to time I still suffer from headaches it is nothing like before Sue gave me the treatment.
Sue is very thorough and clearly cares about her patients and I will continue to have the treatment from time to time.”

“I first visited Woodside Clinic over 14 years ago. As I have an on-going problem of Osteoarthritis in my spine, neck and knee. I have much appreciated the helpful, caring treatment I have received from Mr Betser with Osteopathy. This has also eliminated the “noise in the ear” I’d been suffering with.
Acupuncture, with Helen Taylor-Weekes, has also been very beneficial and helped improve my mobility.
The exercises given to me by Zoe Aspinall, one of the clinic’s Physiotherapists, had truly spectacular effect in helping the pain and stiffness of an injury and arthritis in my knee.
Before seeing Zoe I was unable to walk much at all without great discomfort. I could feel the benefit of her exercises within a few days and things have continued to improve with five months of doing my exercises very regularly!”

“I was surprised and pleased to receive the newsletter for the first time. I would like to add my thanks to the clinic for the help and treatment I have received over a period of many years. The staff are always welcoming and helpful, and the osteopath who treats me (Sue) is not only exceedingly professional but unfailingly kind and thoughtful in her approach. I think clients like myself benefit not only from the physical treatment but also from the atmosphere of consideration and personal attention that we receive. I would like to say how much my treatment helps me and offer my thanks to staff and in particular Sue who treats me regularly with extreme patience…. T
hank you Woodside clinic.”
“I am writing to commend Jytte on her fantastic Massage Therapy skills. Over the last year I have been visiting Jytte to have fortnightly back massage therapy with a very successful outcome. She has shown a complete understanding of my injury, and because of this, changes the therapy massage to suit any pain or muscle discomfort that I may experience due to my injury.
Regular visits to Jytte, has meant that my back pain has been minimal, and muscle movement has been increased.
I certainly would have no hesitation in recommending Jytte to friends, family and work colleagues. Personally, I think she is brilliant and an asset to Woodside Clinic.”
Sports Injury Testimonial
“In 1989 I had a serious injury to my back; I was introduced to Jonathan Betser at Woodside Clinic. An MRI scan was arranged for me. This confirmed the injury which resulted in me being in plaster for 2 months and a year off trampolining.
During that year I had intensive sessions with Jonathan and was able to return to trampolining in October 1999 – only 6 weeks before the World Championship, where I won my 3rd Silver, this being a very special medal as a year before I had been told by other professionals my career was over.
Jonathan treated me for the remaining 6 years of my career where I went on to win another European and World title along with several world cup medals.
Jonathan’s treatment was recognized by our federation and he was asked to become our British Team Osteopath. He traveled all over the world with us giving the entire team tremendous support and very much needed treatment.
There is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that without his treatment my career would have finished in 1999. I owe him a huge thank you and would thoroughly recommend him to anyone!”
